IOM Quality Assurance
If the standards of our members do not meet the reasonable expectations set out within our quality framework, the Model Industry Union is responsible for disciplining the agent.

However, this does not mean a simple mistake, an error in judgement or a minor example of negligence may not make a member or firm liable to disciplinary action.

This section is intended as a general guidance only and not a full explanation of the Model Industry Union‘s powers and duties of care.

Before you make a complaint

Before you make a complaint to the Model Industry Union, you should first follow the internal complaints procedure given to you by your agency. As we have an expectation of members to investigate any complaints they receive first.  Set out clearly what your complaint is and, where appropriate, explain what steps you would like them to take to resolve the problem. If, between you, you can‘t resolve the problem, then you can complain to the Model Industry Union to see if we should look into the matter.

How to make a complaint

Please visit here please complete the details as fully as possible.

How we handle complaints that are disciplinary matters

We may decide the first steps to resolve the issue is through mediation, at such case we shall invite both parties to either our offices in the UK, or, to discuss the matter over a telephone conference.

In more serious cases we may find it appropriate for the Model Industry Union to do a full investigation into your complaint which may result in the member having its membership revoked and potentially the investigation file been submitted to our legal team for prosecution.
